Nima Tours was proud to be selected to coordinate & manage two groups of UK students in June & July 2013. Since that time, we've hosted many school groups from the UK and Nigeria who have also helped give back to communities.
We can help find a project for your group to get involved with either in Nima or elsewhere in Ghana. If you send us specifications of what your group would like to achieve, we will find a project for you & carry out the groundwork prior to your arrival.
Alternatively, we can organise group trips around Ghana, provide you with a minibus & driver to visit the country with or without a guide.
Nima Tours is part of Nima Community Foundation, a NGO that is trying to give back to the local community; some of these groups fundraise prior to departure to buy materials & employ local tradesmen; they all work together to help us accomplish our objectives.
Management of these school groups included:
- Sourcing projects that needed assistance for short periods of time in Accra & rural locations
- Organising transport & transfers within Ghana with local Nima drivers
- Arranging camping facilities
- Accompanying the groups with their supervisors & teachers
- Translating from local languages to ensure the group were included & involved at each step
- Advising on local customs & negotiation of prices
- Ensuring the welfare, health & nutritional needs of the groups
- Facilitated the employment of local tradesmen & purchasing local construction materials
